I was at a Thai restaurant and found this candy. I have no reason to believe this, but the English translation for the candy is "Bit-of-heaven". Kidding. But in reality, it was amazing. The link below (2.8mb image) is a picture of the wrapper. Can anyone tell me what this is and possibly where I can get it?

Thanks!

Bitter melon is pretty bitter, but if made as a candy would lose a lot of the bitterness and be sweet.

Well it is definately NOT bitter melon based on the shape of the fruit.

Did it taste like honeydew?

I would take the wrapper with you to a Japanese market and ask them.

I went for Thai food for lunch and they had a candy bowl at the exit with this very candy in it. I asked what it was and was told Ko-wa. At least that is how she pronounced it. She was not sure how to spell it though. She thought there might be a G or maybe a W (gow-wa?).

The fruit on the wrapper kinda looks like a Honeydew .. but it seems smaller, and kinda apple shaped with a stem. Was it all hard, or did it have a soft center?

I compared the picture on the wrapper to a website for Thai fruits, it looks like a sugar apple or guava.
