These are very good, easy, & quick to make!
Preheat oven to 350 F & grease an 8x8x2 inch pan.
1 pkg Jiffy golden yellow cake mix (it's a little 9 oz box of cake mix)
1/4C brown sugar
1Tbsp margarine, softened
1Tbsp clear corn syrup
1/4C chocolate chips
1/2C chopped walnuts (I leave these out because no one here would eat them if I put them in)
1 egg
1Tbsp water
2Tbsp all purpose flour
In a small bowl, blend all ingredients well. Spread in prepared pan, Bake 25-30 minutes. Cool & cut into bars. Makes about 2 dozen bars.
I sifted some powdered sugar & cocoa powder over the top before slicing.
