Never ever seen that in any store I’ve ever shopped in. It makes zero sense, IMO.

I haven't seen that, either. But, I do know that companies sometimes pay more to have their products at eye level on shelves, and definitely pay more to be on the end caps of isles.

When I make corn bread, I make muffins rather than breads. A large muffin is a good portion with a bowl of chili or as a breakfast.
Me too. I use those paper cup inserts as well. The cheap-o inserts not so good, have to buy the pricier if I can find them and I double up on them, two to a muffin.

We don't use paper in the muffin tins. I just butter them well and the muffins just fall out. (I always thought papers were for cupcakes). Also, we make bigger muffins the pan has only six places.

My mom always made corn muffins, and it was always Jiffy. She was very good at cooking good food from a package. :ROFLMAO:

Jiffy is good stuff.

Yes it is, but it is sweeter than the cornbread I make from scratch. I don't have a big sweet tooth, so I like my sweet foods to have a more subtle sweetness. I won't walk away from Jiffy cornbread, but prefer my own.

I know I've seen Jiffy on the shelves but just don't remember when or where. I looked yesterday at one grocer but didn't see any.

At one time Jiffy had quite a selection of various mixes. Biscuits, Brownies, Pizza Crust, cakes.
All cheap and in the small box.
Cheap as in 5 boxes for under $2.

Pretty much all I find anymore is the cornbread and occasionally Yellow Cake mix.
An excellent 5 parts to 1 part combination.
