I have a hard time reconciling a 2 or 4 hour trip for a mouthful of bread with a bit of cold cuts, mayo and tomato/cheese stuffed into it. I hope at least you're not talking 2 & 4 each way! Please!?
So, basically and excuse for a road trip, eh?With the right tunes playing and the right company with me, I would take a road trip for a Klondike bar....or anything really.![]()
Well, since you insist, where do you want to go?So, basically and excuse for a road trip, eh?
But would you cluck like a chicken while driving? With the right tunes playing and the right company with me, I would take a road trip for a Klondike bar....or anything really.![]()
I wouldn't put it past her, especially if her sister is in the car with her.But would you cluck like a chicken while driving?
Well, okay. For you, but I do think Taxy claimed shotgun. The backseat is roomy, but we should all pack light! But would you cluck like a chicken while driving?
Ok. I'll have to remember to bring Klondike bars.Well, okay. For you, but I do think Taxy claimed shotgun. The backseat is roomy, but we should all pack light!
[Kathleen adds "The Chicken Dance" to the road trip playlist for Ms.Mofet]
The Mini Cooper is ready to roll.
I'll give taxy first dibs on Shotgun... but I get it next... better still - I drive! (sorry Frank, you stay home with the kitties)but I do think Taxy claimed shotgun.
No Long John Silver's around me. Used like the chicken planks and the crumbles. Arthur Treacher's was better. But those are long gone. The closest Long John Silver's is now about a 3 hour drive away, in Portland. Don't think I haven't considered a road trip down there. I love their fish.
Never liked Waffle House. We stopped there when driving to FLA. Only once. That was enough for us. We like Cracker Barrel, Perkins, IHop, Denny's or Shoney's better.

You did not think I was planning on going on this intrepid adventure did you? Perish the thought.(sorry Frank, you stay home with the kitties)
Don't know which mini ours was other than the SS. Somehow my husband never mentioned SS to the insurance - saved a few bucks as they would charge more for sports models.
Cooper S, OK I'll take that but it was also after Expo 67, so 69? maybe even '70? and we bought it 2nd hand - so I really don't remember. About the only two who would remember are now gone so can't even check.
We just called it a Mini.
What was the first Mini Cooper S?
(ours was beige)![]()
Back in 1963, Mini realized how successful its 997 Mini Cooper was on the track and figured they could take it up a notch: the then 1071 cc Cooper S was born. In fact, the plan was to only ever use this engine for racing. But it seems the regular road drivers just couldn't resist its power.
