This is my recipe. The diced peppers themselves are not hot its the powder that makes it hot.
- 4 red la rouge peppers
- Carolina reaper powder
- maybe somewhere between 1 to 1.5 or 2 cups of white vinegar
- sugar
- salt
- msg
I didn't really measure anything out. I also didn't boil it either I just mixed it all together and put it in my fridge. Will the peppers soften? Also how do you all think it will turn out?

I have never made hot pepper spread, but am curious how it turns out!
I've had it on sandwiches. Its really good. It also goes by hot pepper relish I think. Mine just doesn't have onions cause I don't like onions. I can always add onion powder though.

I had never heard of la rouge peppers, so don't know what they taste like. Carolina reapers are the second hottest pepper on earth, so that should give you some good heat.

I also don't know what you mean by "spread." Is it like a salsa?

When I hear spread, I tend to think of something that can be smeared on bread. It could have other uses, but it should be easy to spread with a knife onto toast.

If you put enough reaper powder in that to make it into a spread, with all that liquid (remember, sugar is considered liquid, in things like this), that would be one hot pepper spread! :ROFLMAO:

Yeah. I’m super confused about how to make it into a paste with so much liquid in it.

Sounds like one of those recipes from tic toc or YouTube, that the people didn't even try.

Tic toc "viral" foods are often a waste of ingredients. I have a few YouTube cooking channels that are good. In fact, some of the good cooks/chefs on YouTube test tic toc viral recipes, which is how I know a lot of them are crap. :ROFLMAO:

Yes, a lot of good chefs are on YouTube, but there are many with less experience cooking anything good than just about anyone here! And I've seen this even more with gardeners! I've seen this less with woodworking, or "fix-it" sites, as it's sort of hard to fake those types of things, at least safely! :ROFLMAO:

I watch Chef John and Guga. Guga took my steak game to a higher level. I also watch Sorted Foods, which is a cooking/entertainment show on YouTube. It is a group of Brits who do funny cooking videos.

@AnonCooks have you had this spread before? Are you trying to replicate it? Was it sweet like a jelly on toast? Or more like a pickle with cold cuts.
Sorry for the late response but. I made it but there is room for improvement. When I say hot pepper spread I was referring to a hot pepper relish. It wasn't bad but next I'll switch our sugar for salt.
