It was a dank and dark day, chilly, so I made chili, cornbread muffins, a salad with avocados and vanilla pudding with rhubarb conserve and whipped cream for the Elders. I ate popcorn and watched a movie.

Thank you. Caring for the Elders is very exhausting--emotionally, mentally, financially, and physically. The "bar" I have is "is this better than what they would get served in a nursing home." I have to say yes, because they are in their home, together, eating familiar foods, served by someone who loves them best.
