yes and no. toothpaste that has expired can still be used to clean with. that kind of thing.

I mostly use best before dates to know which are the oldest containers. I want to open the oldest ones first. But, no, I won't throw it out just because the BB date has passed.

Yeah, that's about the only reason I sometimes check the dates.

I remembered another vinegar I had but certainly wasn't worht the price for that tiny bottle. Was Champagne Vinegar. mehh... tasted like vinegar!

FYI all, don't take "expired" food to your local food bank. They can't give them to those in need. They will either reject them, or they'll have to throw them away.

Best buy dates are for greedy companies that want you to get scared and throw stuff away even if it's still good and buy new. JMHO
