Do they pick most useless cooks in the country just for “entertainment”?
Do they teach everyone how to be hopeless?
If I could not cook well, why would I go on a television show where I will be humiliated?

Hahaha.....I have watched a few episodes a few years ago, maybe one season and yeah most of the cooks were hopeless but it was more for the comedy and drama.

Haha @pictonguy
I absolutely adore seeing everyone’s sharing of their meals here. To me, nothing is WRONG. It’s really interesting to see how different people eat.
For example, in Australia, we eat prawns and oysters all Christmas where the northern hemisphere is eating roast dinner.

A reality cooking show that I really enjoyed is called "My Kitchen Rules" similar concept to Come Dine with Me. It’s basically the “home restaurant” version of a cooking competition, with the drama coming from the scoring and the personalities as much as the food. Here's an episode from your neck of the woods, Australia. Hope you enjoy it and this was in 2025. Just hit "watch on youtube" It's actually the finale.

Never heard of it let alone watched it so all I can say is are the people on it supposed to be actual cooks/chefs OR are they just "contestants" having a bity of fun?

I have seen a BBC Food Show and the supposed chefs on there are just self serving - I don't know - idiot wanna be's. So yeah, your right - why would you humiliate yourself on some dumb show?

That show has been running for decades. Way back when it first started, it appeared to attract people who wanted to show off their fancy kitchens/houses - they certainly didnt appear to be all that great cooks. As the years progressed, the people on there became more "madcap" and even less interested in good cooking. The only good thing about it was the narrator, who made very enjoyable comments throughout. It is definitely not a cooking show.

I know I've heard of it. Think maybe I've also seen it on Brit Box. but I've cancelled that app for now. I don't believe I ever actually watched it tho. Is it at least funny? or give you a couple of chuckles?

I stopped watching it years ago, but the narrator was always pretty amusing. (Sort of subtly sarcastic about the contestants.)

It's just finished playing at midday..
We watched for light entertainment. Humour is quite good. Look forward to seeing it next series
