You can set up alerts and subscription notices via email to your favorite threads via your profile settings or by clicking the "watch" link from an open thread.

To locate your watched topics, click on the upper nav bar options to find watched threads and posts.

Here's a direct link to to the watched thread page: On this page you can control your notification option, either enabling email or alerts after you login or no notices at all.

The "Find Threads" option on that same menu will help you fins threads you've posted to or started.

I don't think there is an option that will notify you if you have not posted in that thread or specifically tagged the thread to be watched by you.

(or maybe we're just talking behind your back?) :ROFLMAO: ;)

I stand corrected... again! Thanks CG.

That "Alerts" list is a lot longer than I remembered. I've always had my
"Alerts" on so didn't realize they had become so specific.

so there you go Kgirl, clic away on them!

Reactions and Alerts

You can alert another member
to a post (e.g. if you are asking them a direct question in a discussion) by incorporating the @ sign into your own post followed by their username. They will get a notification of the alert along with a link to find your post.

Reaction options (thumbs up, smilies, etc) can be found at the bottom of each post. Click the "Like" icon to see the options. Your reaction will be displayed beneath the post once you've clicked.

I was looking for this ... I'm seeing folks answering a direct question or the like to a specific member and NOT using the @Kaneohegirlinaz and linking in the persons name - see what I did there?
This @ will send an alert via that persons designated email account that someone has something to say to them.
By simply typing in my name, I will not know that you're "talking to me".

But, do you actually get an email when I do that? I have been tagged and never got an email notification. I assumed it didn't actually work that way. But, if someone replies to my post, I get an alert and an email, even with no @ tagging me. I'll tag you in a thread that you haven't posted in yet. Then we can see if it works. Please let us know how it goes.

I'm afraid I am guilty of not using the @ sign.
I just highlight the members name in bold when I am responding to a direct comment by them. That is just so other members will know that when I scream "YOU PEABRAIN" I am not talking to them.

I neglected to mention that when using the @ and the members name, that's called "mentioning" and that member will see it in their "alerts", that's that little bell in the upper right hand corner.
You could also use the "reply" to someone's post and that will also come up in the alerts.

... see what I did there?
Then @dragnlaw will know unequivocally that I'm talked to you
