Is there any possibility, the stuff you typed in another thread previously was put in the clipboard while you were typing it? It's such a mystery. No, what happens is that I'll be typing a post, and suddenly, the text changes. It adds stuff I typed in another thread on the forum earlier -- it just pops into the post.

If not that could possibly be your answer.
another ROFLMAO and sorry bliss not trying to sabotage your efforts to solve the problem.

It's a mystery that acts like the 'paste command' was accidentally used.
If you didn't use the copy command in the previously typed post, it is possible to accidentally use the copy command.
The next time it happens, the minute you notice it, move your cursor to a blank space to type and use the paste command and see if what is pasted is the same text as the word salad that was inserted. If it is, then you know it is coming from the clip board and the paste command. If it is not, it's coming from something else, maybe a short cut command.
Or to view the clip board then
- Opening the Finder
- Clicking Edit in the menu bar
- Selecting Show Clipboard

CD: It's good you checked that.
Some mac users on the Apple Discussions have said that having both their mac and iphone both logged in w/wifi, bluetooth, essentially connected, will throw out a message out randomly. If you have your phone linked that way to your mac, could you disconnect the phone from the mac and see if that helps?
If you were to search for answers look at the MacRumors forum, or Apple Discussions.
