Crispy coating fish & chips with cole slaw. The fish is rockfish from Wild Alaskan Company, the chips are Ore-Ida Golden Thick Cut Steak Fries, and the coleslaw is from the grocery store deli. The coating is my own recipe; salt and pepper of course, all porpoise flour, corn starch, cayenne pepper, onion and garlic powders and paprika.
I have been inside for weeks thanks to a combo of a cold and cold (-12c) weather. So we went out for Chinese food. Our favourite place was closed, so we went to the other one in town. I had a combo of almond chicken, beef chop suey, s&S pork, and chicken chow mein. TB had S&S pork, chow mein, and fried rice. I gave him my pork because he got so little, and it isn't my favourite.
2 little apples peeled in the peeler/corer/slicer, followed by steamed collards and green beans and onions, lastly brownies made with garbanzo beans (chick peas). The brownies came out fluffier than the ones I make with blackbeans or pink beans. Mr Bliss approves. He had veggie rice and broccoli/peppers/soy curls stir fry (steamed) with a glossy finish and some stir fry sauce.
We *still* do not have hot water, so went to the Y for a shower. Since we were springtime fresh, we opted to go out to a new Asian buffet in town. Pretty tasty.
