Today's lunch was a fusion of middle eastern, and Chinese. It was super easy, and quite tasty. The reason I call it fortified is that the lentils, and pork add protein to the dish. You could also add slivered carrot, onion, minced water chestnuts, etc.

Chief's Fortified Chili Ramen
Ingredients:
1 single serving package of chili flavored ramen noodles
1/2 cup cooked lentils with pork cubes
1 cup water

The lentils were leftovers, seasoned with cumin, garlic, salt, and pepper, with bite sized cubes of pork added.

Bring water to a slow boil. Add the ramen and seasoning packet. Cook over medium heat until they start to soften, and come apart. Stir in the lentils. Cook until ramen is fully cooked, stirring frequently. Serve with broth in a large soup bowl. Enjoy with limeade.

I used to combine foods like that from the freezer and call it Freezer Surprise. My coworkers called it Leftovers.
