I live in the Heartland of the United States
Had a follow-up appointment with my ophthalmologist this morning. In May he discovered some hemorrhaging in both eyes, more so in the right one.

Today's appointment showed no trace of hemorrhaging in either eye and I was given an "all good" report and told to return in a year. I was a happy puppy!

Then, as an aside, it was lunchtime by the time we left the big city to come home, so we stopped at our favorite Cracker Barrel restaurant to enjoy some sustenance at their hands.

More good news, at least to us, Cracker Barrel has ditched their plans to "redo" their restaurants to be trendier, whatever, and things will remain as is.

My philosophy, "If it ain't broke. Don't break it!"

We savored some of their perfectly fried catfish, sides and yummy cornbread. Both of us had the fried okra as a side. I had steamed fresh broccoli as the second choice which was steamed to perfection. Glenn had pinto beans instead. We were too stuffed for dessert, and, in fact, I brought nearly half of my meal home.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall and see how they produce such perfect fried catfish and okra. Just the best. Our air fryer always brings the leftovers back to just-like-new state. I have that to look forward to but not tonight. I'm still full. May have to have some cookies to fill the empty space in my tummy later tonight while we watch a movie.

Cracker Barrel must see me walk in, and put the worst cooks on my meals. There always seems to be something wrong with my food.

@caseydog I didn't really have a problem with my eyes after surgery. I was worried that the left eye did not adjust as much and as fast as the right eye did. I knew it was nothing to worry about - but I worried anyhow. 🥴
What also caused me worry was the two very hard jolts I suffered in case they misaligned the lenses. Which didn't happen. All's good.
