Great Greek Meatballs!!




Ingredients:
1 lb hamburger or ground lamb ( lamb is much much better)
1 egg
1/2 cup bread crumbs ( I use garlic flavored)
1/4 cup parsely
1 small onion, greated or chopped
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper


Directions:
mix all ingredients together

shape in to balls

roll in flour

fry in good olive oil!!

eat

enjoy

ask for more
 
they're certainly greek if you make them out of lamb. i like to add a healthy amount of oregano to my lamb balls (boy that just doesn't sound right.. :D ).

deb, a good idea with the feta is to make the lamb balls around a chunk of feta, then brown in evoo, and bake at 400 for 10 minutes to make sure they're cooked thru and the feta melts.

And the feta sounds great. What a wonderful idea. I'm going to try it next time and I'll pass the idea on to my Greek MIL. Thank you!

My friend's wife makes greek meatballs with lamb, but I have trouble eating them because they call it "lamb's balls."
 
LOL.. Lamb balls

We've always called them that too.

You can flatten the balls out and make patties if you'd rather.

The lemon sauce sounds good too!

You guys are great.
