Just happened on this site and wanted to say hello. I am a lifelong cooking enthusiast and foodie. I love learning new things and then taking them to the kitchen. My latest pursuit is trying to get the perfect Chicago style gyro from my own kitchen. I have collected a few recipes but haven't settled on a final version. Hope to meet some great food enthusiasts here.

Welcome @Chef Odin from another wisconsinite, I'm in South Eastern Wisconsin, between Madison and MIlwaukee and another 20 minutes south. Mr bliss helps me live and cook here and I've been here my whole life.
Gyros. Getting the spices and seasoning right seems to be the most important trick. Oregano and lemon juice come to mind.
I hope you can find the perfect combination.
