Here in our neck of the woods, the Circleville Pumpkin Show is currently going on. They have crowned the champion - a 1,972 lb pumpkin.

I bought some seeds from a grower there. Never got to plant them as I moved! Don't know if they are still viable or not.
I got some seeds from a local 300 lb pumpkin once. Grew 2 pumpkins from them in the compost - 1 was 120 and the other just under.
But this time I wanted to grow some - hollow them and take pictures of the grands inside them. Well, they're a bit bigger now, LOL! But still have them and I'm still going to soak them come early spring and see what happens.
