I buy a 500gm jar of tomato paste, and then spoon it into ice cube trays and then freeze. The following day, I pop them out into a freezer bag. I get about 22 cubes that are roughly of tablespoon measurement. Handy for casseroles and soups, and no more mouldy jars or waste.

Yes this is a handy thing to do with a lot of different things. Another would be pesto..
