Had a wonderful birthday. My husband gave me a super card that, as always, made me cry, along with a bottle of my favorite perfume.

My birthday meal included NY strip steak, from a fabulous local butcher shop, cooked to perfection on the outside grill, baked potato with all the goodies then...fresh strawberry pie I'd made earlier in the day. I took the idea from my youngest son who always wanted birthday pie instead of birthday cake and, since fresh strawberries are just coming in here and are abundant, strawberry pie was a wonderful choice. The meal was accompanied by a wonderful bottle of champagne.
