I thought it was just us...nah, a good portion of my friends and family just stay put.
It's cold, wet and supposed to snow overnight, who wants to be on the roads anyway. I'm here in my home office browsing a few things, stumbled upon this site and decided to join.

Happy New Year to everyone here. I hope you have a wonderful and blessed year.
I don’t want you to think I’m going soppy, but I do want to share with you something that perhaps you don’t think about, being all worlds away and being connected together through these things that we share.
Some may remember that a few years ago, I was diagnosed with a terminal illness and I have been dealing with this ever since. It hasn’t stopped me, and it won’t.
I was basically forced into retirement for my health, and it was very, very hard.
When I was in hospital (a LONG time) the higher power somehow decided that no matter what room I was in, the television was either not working or not even there.
So I relied on places like this to keep me aware of my existence. You have all changed my life in ways you will never know, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your kindness and support.
