I once won a quiz book, when I was in high school, because the quiz team I was part of won the quiz.

But, my brainy best friend was the one who caused us to win. She knows everthing. :)

I havent won anything else, but that might be because I dont enter any competitions and try to win things. This doesnt stop me envying those who do win things though.

I once won a bunch of CDs for calling into a radio show with a correct answer.

I've won a football pool and some small lottery prizes.

No major cash prizes, but in my younger years I won over 200 ribbons and trophies with my horse Leo. We ran barrel racing, pole bending, etc...
If it meant going full speed ahead we ran it.

This one was funny. I was playing bingo at children's day at the NCO club in Germany. I won! I WON! I was so happy (I think the prize was something like $10). I was maybe 10 or 11, and Daddy went to collect my prize. "Oh, that was for the red card, not the blue card." Something like that. Dad went to the club manager, got me my $10 and told him to next time announce the color of the card. It was in the late 60s, and my parents took me to the PX and I bought a new Barbie doll for my sisters and me. Anyway, since then, nope. It is a reason I'm not a gambler to this day. I think that gambling only works if you win once in awhile!

When I was young my Aunt gave my brother and me a jigsaw puzzle. Once you put the puzzle together the picture was a math problem. The grand prize for solving the math problem was $100,000. We submitted our answer and won the prize, but so did 999 other people. We all split the money so my brother and I walked away with $1,000. We split it and used some to buy my Aunt a lend for her camera. We were still left with a decent amount of dough. I was probably about 10 years old at the time so that was a ton of money to me.

If you're counting gambling winnings, I have won some money at casinos on vacation. However, if you count the money I've lost at casinos on vacation, I'm a loser.

I once won like 100 bucks in lottery, calle dmy friend and we went on to celebrate that ocasion. Went to some bars, met some nice girls, get seriously drunk. Our mistake was to go right after getting paid at work. I have no clue where we spend all the money and what we did most of the night. I was too young and too stupid then. I wish I could win something that big (proportionaly big at the time) nowadays. I would make sure not to waisted.

it was our church Christmas party and i won in the raffle an electric fan ..

I'm a loser.

i tried to resist, but some quotes are too difficult to pass up...

my family has a weird bit of luck the the boardwalk games down the jersey shore. (if you're from jersey, "down the shore" is proper english).

we go a few times a year, and we always go home with armloads of junk. stuffed animals, mini guitars, mini skateboards, inflatable bats and hammers, basketballs or soccer balls with baseball or football team logos on them (kinda weird), baseball hats and t-shirts, etc. etc.

i even won a mountain bike, and a small tv each on a dollar gamble at a booth there years ago.

to even things out, everywhere else i have no luck.
