i am looking to buy a new meat slicer and have read lots of reviews and spec's
but they all seem to be missing one important piece of information
and that is what is the travel length ? in other words what is the longest piece of meat it will cut ? all the information i need to make a decision is there except that !!!
what i am looking for is one for $ 350.00 or less with a 10 inch or larger blade and will slice a normal length of bacon ( about 10-11 inches ) you would think they would provide this important bit of information but they don't

Perhaps my thinking is all skewed but if it has a 12" blade you must be able to pull the carrier slide minimum 12" back, no? Bacon slabs, purchased are about 10"??

But I also saw there was a chat symbol on the page you show - try it!

dragnlaw@ i was just guessing how long bacon is , i was just looking for something that would handle it , that was the only piece of information that is always missing in the spec's

I've had Sunday deliveries from Amazon. It's not like Jeff Bezos would have to work on a Sunday to get a delivery done, and I doubt he cares about anyone else.

for some unknown to me reason its being shipped via amazon

Everything Amazon is delivered in Amazon/Rivian electric delivery vans where I live. My next door neighbor gets Amazon deliveries almost every day.

FYI, Amazon owns Rivian.

FedEX is adding a lot of EV delivery vans, made by a GM owned company.

If you ordered it from Amazon, you could go to your order and view the space that tells you the method of shipping. Most of the time, at least for us, whether the item is small or really huge, Amazon ships to us via UPS. For example, I mentioned that the running boards arrived this morning. It was a BIG and HEAVY box. In the same Amazon delivery, in a little tear strip opener type envelope, were some packages of sewing machine needles.
