How do you make your Pigs In The Blanket?

For your pancakes and sausage pigs in a blanket, I would do that with good crepes, and dress with sausage grease and maple syrup, or blueberry syrup. The crepes are more flexible, and lighter.

I do not like my pancakes thick and heavy. I like them thin. Almost like a crepe. When my wife makes pancakes (she always makes the pancakes and bacon) she makes hers first. Recipe thickness. And reserves to the warm oven.
She then thins out the batter and makes mine.
We actually have had this type of "pigs in blankets" once and awhile.
Ice cold milk, yum.
One of very few dinners I don't drink beer with.

That's how we have made them for many years. I think its the first thing the kids "cooked", when small.
Simple and good. :yum:

I felt so grown up getting to roll them up. :chef: A few years ago, I saw Mummy dogs for Halloween. It was the same thing only rolled in strips of the crescent rolls to look like a mummy with pepper flakes for eyes. :)
