Pasta Primavera with Garlic-Butter Sauce .......

Pasta Primavera 10-13-21.jpg

Got back from the Thanksgiving visit with the in-laws this afternoon and we were all pooped out. Didn't want to cook. DH wanted Chinese, but didn't want to deal with a complicated order so we ordered the Special Cantonese Dinner For 2. Wonton soup, egg roll (4), dry garlic spareribs, pineapple chicken, chicken chow mein, chicken fried rice, and fortune cookies. Really quite good, not as good as our favourite Chinese resto, which is in town and not nearby, like this one. Lots of leftovers.

Pan-fried ham steak, mashed yukons and broccoli rabe.

Mom and I, along with 4 other of my Neighborhood Gal Pals,
went out to Linner (late lunch/early dinner) and Team Trivia
Night at a restaurant a coupla towns up from us.

Funny, we all ordered the same dish,
Blue Crab Cakes

I ordered dessert for the table,
Malasadas, Portuguese Doughnuts.

The server said that Chef is from Hawaii and knows his Malasada.
He also said that other guests from Hawaii made claims
that this is better than Leonard's in Honolulu :glare: don't think so brah!
They were okay, but not anywhere near to Leonard's.

Chicken Yakisoba. It was quick and easy. I used celery instead of broccoli, since DH can't do broccoli anymore. Thought about adding mushrooms or something else, but decided to just keep it simple.

Mikey loved it
