Ice Cream Cake Recipes anyone?

Hey!

My roomates birthday is coming up soon and she does not want me to make her a cake because I make cakes and cupcakes so often! She wants a cake from Dairy Queen but i'm sure I can make something better!

I was thinking a layer of brownie then mousetracks ice cream (vanilla with choccolate swirls and mini peanut butter cups) or something similar but then I get stuck with how to ice it or what else to do!

If anyone has any ice cream cake recipes or tips please share!

I think a Baked Alaska would be quite different from a regular birthday type cake. Check out Google images for different kinds and flavor ideas.

If you make it like you stated, cool whip now makes a frosting too. It is in the freezer section with the cool whip. I have not tried it but I would guess that it would be good on an ice cream cake. I am thinking of trying one with a brownie layer too. I'm thinking that it would be wonderful.
