Icing recipe for Gingerbread Men ?

i would like a recipe as well. bought a pan that lets me bake gingerbread cakes shaped like the gingerbread men cookies. just a really a simple not to much frosting. should i just use a glaze?

I have been thinking about this recently too... I was thinking of just using a royal icing, just powdered sugar and water. A softer frosting doesn't seem exactly appropriate for gingerbread men, IMHO. But then, royal icing isn't very exciting in the taste department either so... I don't know.

I use royal icing and add some almond extract or even pepermint extract.
I have used a butter cream frostong and added maple extract with good results
