Well, not exactly Beer & Pizza here in my Casa in Cowboyville Arizona, but baseball is on and I needed to find something quick and easy.

So snacks and Hoagies it is!

A bunch of odd available things. A bowl of steamed kale vinegar/salt. Baked whole grain bread with tofu/lemon/garlic, salt basil and oregano. 9 grain flakes w/peaches and plums, nutmeg cinnamon, flax/chia/wgerm. That should hold me for a while.

I had lunch at my favorite TexMex restaurant in Terminal A at Houston Intercontinental Airport. Cadillac Mexican Kitchen and Tequila Bar. As usual, I had their cheese and onion enchiladas, with seasoned rice and refried pinto beans.

I was stuffed, so dinner was just some truffle fries at the hotel.

I had some of the red lentil soup I made yesterday. I really like that soup. Then, I had a veggie burger on a Khorasan wheat (Kamut™) bun. It tasted okay, but I didn't like the very mushy texture. I guess I will give up on veggie burgers. I had some of the coleslaw I made a few days ago.

Picture of the lentil soup I had yesterday. Today there was no greenery on the soup, just the feta.

Type in the question of "today is international what day" and you will get them listed. It is usually a day celebrated by various groups for various reasons.
Today, (for example October 10), are the celebrated national days of Angel Food Cake Day, Cake Decorating Day, Handbag Day, and Walk to a Park Day, as well as National Metric Day. These are recognized by the National Day Calendar.
choose which ever one strikes your fancy!

I had pretty good bowl of chicken and andouille sausage gumbo last night at the hotel restaurant. It was stupid expensive, but it was as good as my own... almost. ;)

I ate at the bar, and met some fun people... mostly oil company people, so I could talk their language. Big expense accounts. When I got my tab, it looked way too low. The bartender told me they picked up my tab before they left, so only owed what I bought after they left.
