I live in the Heartland of the United States
Mother Nature is still being a pill, with cold and gloomy weather. Just right for roast beast and gravy in the crock-pot, mashed taters, steamed green peas and the last of my stash of the Little Debbie Cherry Cordial cakes for dessert.

I plan on smothering the daylights out of some mashed potatoes with gravy. Yum! One of my favorite things. Gravy bread is a close second.

Anything "spicy" on your table tonight?

A little plates meal. Cantaloupe wrapped with prosciutto. Shrimp in a kind of scampi style. Marinated red bell peppers, onions and garlic slices. Crab stuffing in mushrooms.

I decided to go with street style tacos. Leftover flat iron steak sliced and pan fried fajita style, with shredded cabbage, Mexican cheese blend, and some spicy Mateo's Hatch Chili salsa. Soft corn tortillas.

Not pretty looking, but very tasty.

I finally tried cooking shrimp. I made made garlic sautéed shrimp. It turned out really good. I am enjoying the leftover smell of garlic shrimp. It was easy enough and may well become a go to quick supper for me. I followed a recipe, but I don't think I'll need to bother next time. I had it with a largish salad of green crisp lettuce, scallions that had lots of green, carrot, and cucumber. I dressed it with the last of the batch vinaigrette. In fact, I had to stretch it with a bit of EVOO and wine vinegar. I have a happy tummy.

Looks great. I’d eat that in a flash 😊

Dominos thin crust pizza (sausage and onion) it was only ok. And the cinnamon bread bites (liked these).
