Tramontina cast enameled 6L/28cm... £75!!

Lol. I have to use it once and a while so she can see me use it. Lol.

It’s a cool pot, for sure. But, I don’t have a real specific use for it. I have a couple
other lightweight wok type pots that heat up quicker and a couple of dutch ovens so I don’t really sslow cook in it.

I'm a heretic. Go with stainless steel. Cheaper, easier to care for. Easier to lift. Dishwasher safe. I abandoned enameled cast iron and have no regrets.
The weight issue is key for me. I can barely lift a Le Crueset (and other versions) empty - no chance when it is full of boiling hot contents!

Some years ago, i was moving my empty 7.25 Qt. LeCrueset around on the stovetop an one of my hands slipped off the handle. the edge of the pot bottom hit the front edge of the stovetop. I was left with a good-sized chip on the front dead center of the porcelain stovetop. It greets me with a smile every day.

You can abandon any and all enameled cast iron cookware at my house and I promise I will not call Child Protective Services and report you. I have no problem taking care of it, lifting it helps build muscle, and I am the only dishwasher here.

You are too late. It was years ago.

A happy day.

I have mentioned before, I had to instruct MrWiz on how to care for my/our cast iron collection when we first lived together. He was initially reluctant to use it, but nowadays he is as protective of it as I am. 🤣
