Can anyone help me please? I'm making cookies and biscuits at home but they always turn out too "cakey" and not crunchy, what am I doing wrong?:chef:

ohhh I love to bake cookies...

some tips...

soften butter (no substitues please), cream well with sugar. Depending on cookie recipe, this creaming can take several minutes, I use a mixer. Add other ingredients as directed. Please follow recipes closely. Bake at recommended temperature.

Cakieness? Sounds like an ingredient issue, or a recipe issue to me.

Yep, please post a recipe!

Welcome to DC LJay! Once you have posted your recipe like the others before me have said, I am sure you will be given lots of helpful advice.

Any cookie recipe that has a liquid in it, like water, milk, sour cream, applesauce, pumpkin, etc., will probably or more often than not make it cake-like.
