ISO recommendations for a budget friendly popcorn popper?

i bought a "hello kitty" at target last year because it was soooo cute and on sale for 8 bucks maybe?
I dont want a hot air one...i just dont like the taste of the popcorn

a regular one is fine...i dont have to have bells and whistles
I know I can do stove top,,,but this is for when I cant watch it,,,,neighbours drop by or when DH wants to make some popcorn

A regular pot with a tight fitting lid and the stove works best.
