It just so happened that I did make some Bread today!

I looked back at my file photos ... It's been FIVE YEARS since I made Bread!
Whatcha makin' ?

Not making anything really since I spent most of the day making entrees and getting them ready for the freezer in anticipation of my hand/finger surgery this coming Wednesday.

We ate like little piggies yesterday at Cracker Barrel which left us with the remains of Tuesday's pizza, etc. so we'll munch on that.

We'll begin afresh tomorrow.

Last night, I shamed myself into actually making something for today. Beef Barley soup made with veggies scavenged from the fridge, freezer, and garden. It was pretty tasty. I made fried bread to go with it, which is a white cornmeal paste fried in fat and then slathered with butter. Very yummy.

Mostly leftovers for me tonight. I'll decide what in a few minutes after staring in the fridge for a while. ;)
I had some of the leftovers of that Danish dish, millionbøf that I had on Tuesday. This time I put it on some whole wheat bread, sort of like a sloppy Joe. I added a bit of LaoGanMa on one edge, to see if it went well with this. It did. I put a lot more on after verifying that. I also had a salad. It was based on a new-to-me Danish recipe and I took liberties. it was supposed to be arugula, pear, and Parmigiano Regiano. I used spinach, a whole, very small pear, and pecorino Romano. I sprinkled some roasted pepitas on one side of the salad. I really enjoyed the salad. I'm undecided about the roasted pumpkin seeds. I'm not sure they enhanced the salad, but they certainly didn't hurt it. There was definitely too much pear, but I really didn't want to leave a half of a pear.
