What are you noodling?

I had some local cherry tomatoes that I needed to use up so I made a pan tomato sauce but not going to use a noodle but a pasta, capellini to be exact and hope that qualifies .

Leftover spaghetti and garlic bread from Saturday night. The plate the restaurant uses for dinner holds enough for 2 or 3 meals, so I always bring home leftovers.

oh oh oh.... have it with brown butter and sage! yum yum yum

no sage?? here, reach out... stretch... grab it! only need a couple of leaves each. Even whole dried sage in the butter works beautifully!

When the kids were little any time we served noodles, they chanted together in chorus,"Noodly woodly noodly woodly noodly woodly".

We are having 5 ingredient chicken bake with baby potatoes in herb butter sauce.

....and the ingredients are, ordered by quantity:
Chicken breast fillets
Alfredo sauce
Bell peppers
Pesto
Bacon

Linguine with pancetta and minced clams. This was one of the first things I made when I started to cook in Italy. My father in law made me mince clams that came in 100 ounce cans. He was Calabrian so the dish was spicy. I use hot pancetta.

So I decided I was hungry enough... boiled up some Rigatoni #17 and put on the sauce. Ate half way thru and remembered sometimes a bit of cheese was grated on - did that. Sauce could have been a bit looser. Still very tasty, but no WOW factor.

Stir fry (steamed) of red and yellow peppers, yellow zucchini, and okra. All from the gardens.
(we still buy soy sauce and waterchestnuts)

I took off without any breakfast to get my car to the mechanic's this morning and 7 hours later, ended up at Jack in the Box finally eating some chicken strips and tiny tacos. I got some fish to go from a local store here but I don't think I can eat anything more tonight.

That looks delicious. I wish there was a recipe for that.

I used the 2/3 of a chicken breast left from yesterday's supper to make chicken cordon bleu casserole. I reheated some brown basmati rice and some of the roast veggies from yesterday. I had simple salad of spinach, curly red lettuce, shaved red onion, and haskap berries. I dressed it with my batch vinaigrette. The spinach was okay in the salad, but not my favourite. I should put less spinach another time. I enjoyed the casserole. That's cheese on top. This time I remembered to make it a metal pan, so I could turn on the broiler to brown the cheese. I don't like the idea of doing that in Pyrex.

The one she is referring to is probably the chain of Mexican restaurants in NJ area.

Well, the packaging might have said that. I don't remember.I've had almost all of my Pyrex bake ware for at least 35 years.
