Back to KFC for this so called new item.

Before tax this item was 3 bucks.

You get 5 pieces of mashed potato poppers with a gravy dip cup.

I took the item and sat down to eat it.

The mashed potato poppers are not that big. You get more gravy than you need for 5 poppers.

The poppers were nice and tasty despite how expensive this was.

A medium sized thumbs up from me on this item. Would have liked it a bit cheaper imo.

I mean, I'd try them. But that's something you could make at home as well. In fact, that gives me an idea for a side dish. When I have leftover mashed potatoes, that is. Which happens often enough. My son and I love our mashed potatoes!

I literally love KFC lol I been getting the $20 6 piece dark meat deal. love that crispy chicken, 2 fries and 2 coleslaw :<)

ughh no lie Friend food prices whoopin my butt. That 20 dollar 6 piece with 4 sides is probably their best deal imho. I get one every other week for work :<)
I don't know if they still have it or not, but I would occasionally get the $5 "Taste of KFC" meal for lunch, which was 2 pieces of chicken (a leg and a thigh, which are my two favorite cuts on the whole bird) one side and a biscuit. It was just enough food for me.

I'm a dark meat gal. Give me the thighs and/or the legs over the breasts any day.

They do but I usually use the app to order it then pick it up before work. Sadly in the app you can't substitute and I get the coleslaw because I usually don't have access to a reheating method at some sites. It is a pretty decent deal for 5 bucks though. The burger places $5 menus suck lol

I always get the coleslaw instead of the mash & gravy :yum:

And I never use those stupid apps. I get that some people need to, but after trying the ordering apps a couple of times, I'm done with them.

KFC cole slaw is yummy! I have to confess that I love KFC, but do not get it often. On one of our car trips, we found a KFC. The chicken was fresh from the fryer and it was amazing. We were tempted to get seconds of the $5 lunch!

Linda, if you frequent some places, use the app! My CC company allows me to make a virtual CC, and I use it for those apps. The deals and such are worth the hassle of setting it up!

The only thing with KFC is how small their chicken pieces have gotten. You used to get these big fat drums and now they're these sad little legs without a whole lot of meat. At least that's been my experience. But I still have a 'love' for KFC that's been with me a long time. Love the biscuits with the honey sauce. Although Church's honey-butter biscuits are 10 times better. But most Church's locations around here have closed down and the only one closest to me is in an area of town I prefer to stay away from.

And I agree on KFC's coleslaw. I found a copycat KFC coleslaw recipe years ago (don't remember where, but there are plenty of those recipes out there) that was pretty darn good.

I don't really eat out much and rarely do I eat fast food. Now and again I'll get a little craving for maybe Taco Bell (or KFC) and my other favorite fast food item, which is the Arby's Classic Beef & Cheddar. And that's about it. As I've gotten older, the 'appeal' of fast food has worn off quite a bit.
