So I used to LOVE boxing. Watched every fight going and could accurately predict who was going to win the vast majority of the time.

Then I had children and I couldn’t bear to watch it. That was someone’s baby getting their head bashed in. I couldn’t stand it.

But my children grew up and got their own place and somehow it doesn’t bother me anymore (I can only assume thats a hormonal thing).

So I watched my first fight in over 20 years today.
What a disappointment. A mockery. Can’t quite believe it.
Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul.
How did boxing get dragged down to wrestlings level?
I won’t be watching this YouTuber TikTok crapola ever again. I mean fair play to the guy for getting in the ring with a real boxer but at the same time put a warning on there - don’t waste your time, it’s entertainment not sport!

Rant over. Thanks for bearing with!

Grief - sport, I like and have been involved with a lot of them. I used to play tennis and played for my state for two years.

I played Cricket (obviously) and wanted to play for Australia so I could beat the Poms :D

I played Aussie rules (football) but finally grew a brain and decided big boys keepings off wasn't my thing.

I tried golf but discovered I had the coordination of an epaleptic octapus :)

I played Lawn Bowls both in Australia and Wales. I represented Australia at the Arafura Games and won a bronze medal and played 2nd for the Welsh Teams Captain. I got the impression I was pretty good ... apparently.

Then I tried Rallying - nearly killed myself and my nav a couple of times so gave it up for something a little safer Formula One - watching it NOT Participating in it :)

At the moment though, I don't participate in any sports and rarely get to see the F1 or International Cricket. Apparently neither are entertaining enough for the US public. BUT generally, I like the majority of sports - oh I forgot one, I played proffesional tiddly winks for three years but got banned for being all thumbs :D :D

So I used to LOVE boxing.
I remember the days of Mohammad Ali and that other guy who bites ears off - I used to watch those matches but it become far to violent for me - just like this other thing they call a sport a mix of boxing, wrestling and marshall arts. How anyone can call that sport or entertaining is beyond me.

I used to the wrestling as I thought it was hilarious the way they strutted around as if their poo didn't stink playing the tough guy and girl :)

This afternoon, I streamed the Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua fight on Netflix. It was my first exposure to Jake. I was disgusted by his clownish tongue and ridiculous thigh clinches.

I first heard about the Cassius Clay, Sonny Liston fight the following day during school recess. That was my first real exposure to boxing. I feel sorry for today's kids, whose first exposure to the sweet science was yesterday's farce.

I've often joked that the Superbowl is Frank's second Christmas. He loves football, and I do enjoy watching it. I personally like college basketball. I fenced and played tennis in college. At this point in life, I'm a spectator, but I do miss sailing and fishing - which we may revisit.

I don't know if these qualify as "Sports per se" but I used to do a lot of abseiling and repalling - It was link to my spealeology and my time with the SES (State Emergency Service - Australia) Cave Rescue Team.

I have no interest in hockey. I like basketball and watch it occasionally (there's only so much sports I can ask SO to suffer through), I am a big football (not soccer) fan and have enjoyed following the home team's success this century.

But my number one favorite sport is baseball. In a 162 game regular season, I watch about 160.

I love my BEARS, and wish good things for Frank's Browns. Baseball is good as long as I have either food or drink in my hand during the game! (Go, CUBS!) I like college basketball, but not pro basketball. I do like hockey, but rarely watch it. I have to watch the national college football championship as Indiana is undefeated this year....and I share Indiana as my undergrad alma mater with another user on here. Not Frank.

;)Being frugal and cooking, is a sport.;)
I'm not much of a 'watching sports' person.
I'll either engage in a sport myself or I have a hard time finding it interesting. Except when the bears play, then in order to keep my wisconsin citizenship, I root for the packers.;)
I liked soccer when my kids played soccer. I personally liked tennis and archery. Some years I hike a lot and other years I walk a lot.

My youngest daughter likes to watch boxing and Formula One She traveled to the country when Formula One is held.
have. I don’t watch TV so it’s not helpful. But my husband likes to watch baseball.

I saw the Australian F1 GP when it was held in Adelaide but that is the only time I have seen it live - while it was exciting and easy to get caught up in all the hype - you see more watching it on TV :)

It was sad seeing my BEARS lose, but they are a young team. I have high hopes for next season! Having Indiana win the national championship for the first time ever....and having an undefeated season for the first time ever was a touch of treacle for the BEARS losing.
