Has anyone ever done this? I've watched several instructional videos on how to do this, they usually begin by making a bamboo contraption for the bottom before adding the garlic. They never specify how much garlic one is allowed to add.

So my question is, can I load the entire crock pot up with garlic? Or do I have to leave some room between the lid and the garlic?

Have you read this from Spruce Eats on Black Garlic?
I might also mention there is always a danger with low and slow, especially weeks slow. Do you have a reliable slow cooker?

LOL and I might add, a good place in the garage for the next few weeks? LOL

I have not read that, nor do I have a reliable slow cooker (was going to ask you guys about that).

Also, I have a front porch. The neighbors walking by might be a bit 'inconvenienced' due to the smell LOL but, oh wells haha

Hopefully someone here will come along and be able to help.

I have a Cuisinart that I would trust to keep a good temp but I'm not willing to sacrifice it for a couple of weeks.
Not that I use it every week but.... guess I'm just not that "into black garlic".

Edit:
I also have a smaller crock pot - but I have no idea on the temps it runs at.
