Hi. I have a few questions about marzipan.

I saw these packets of marzipan at a local grocer, the writing on it was in German so I wasn't sure but it said baking, does that mean I cannot eat it like that? I have to bake it first?

Also what does pure marzipan taste like? I have never had it. I just saw it and then looked it up online. The description made me friggin drool.
 
In Denmark, a marcipan for baking would be made in such a way that it doesn't get runny when baked. I think they usually add a small percentage of apricot kernels. But, the Germans are picky and you can't call it marcipan if it has other stuff added to it. I have read that they call the one with added apricot kernels "percipan".

What does it taste like? Delicious. It's sweet and tastes of almonds. It's great stuff.
