Measuring spoons I had never seen, now can't live without

I had seen these in the King Arthur catalog and wondered why we needed spoons like this. Then I saw them in our local cooking tools store, it hit me...for scooping out of small jars. They work great. And even when scooping out of large containers they have well defined edges if you want to strike off the extra flour or whatever. Everyone in our blended family cooks, they all got these for xmas, they all love them.

My daughters gave a set like this a few years ago. The tapered end works well in jars and other containers.

I have the elongated retangular ones like oldrusty. I love them too. Long handle reaches way down and narrow spoon fits.

I also got a set of those 7 elongated measuring spoons from KAF many years ago. I like the fact that they have the 3 extras - 1/8 and 3/4 tsp, and 1/2 tb - and that they fit in the spice jars.

I've had a set of these for years and understand how you like them, especially measuring a teaspoon of an ingredient out of spice jars.

I have a set that looks exactly like that. I think I saw you post about them a while back. Someone did and then I went hunting for them.

I really like them. I also like that there are two spoons on each "stick". Sometimes I need to have a clean spoon of the same size as one I just used. Yes, I have a bunch of other measuring spoons in a drawer, but it's handy to already have it to hand.

I will have to remember that there is a ruler marked onto the leveler.

I have a set of those too! They are great for jars. I have the more traditional ones too, but the elongated ones are perfect for spice jars!

Now I want a set of the skinny rectangular spoons. I have very nice Cuisipro measuring spoons that are skinny ovals, but the largest of them don't fit in my old spice bottles. I end up measuring out 3 teaspoons when I need a tablespoon.

Reading through this thread, a thought came to mind. How many of you use your measuring spoons connected with a ring vs. removing the ring and using them individually?

The ring comes off as soon as I buy them. WIth the ring, you can't clean them in the dishwasher - they 'nest'.
