Finished the LAMB!!!! Had a wonderful sandwich with lots of mayo, salt 'n pepper, sourdough rye.
Surprisingly sorry to see the last of it - it has been delicious all the way! that slow cooker recipe was amazing!

Had nibbled and polished off the rest of the Scalloped Potatoes earlier during the day and so this was perfect. 😁

What was your creation for a delectable repast this night before "Little Christmas".

Happy 12th Night!

I had a mish-mash of ingredients that had me google "recipes with [listed ingredients.] Happily something popped up and that is what I made! This creamy mushroom chicken recipe came up. I added mashed potatoes and some Brussel sprouts languishing in the freezer. DL, check out the little silicon divider! It let me use a grown person plate! I'll make this again.

Today was very productive. I got a lot of things done. I did not, however, get any cooking done, so it was sandwiches, chips and dip, and other grazing food from the fridge. The chips were tortilla chips, and the dip was a mixture of sour cream and Hatch chili salsa. That was quite good.

@Meryl can you describe that jar of truffle sauce? What did you first use it on?
Those mushrooms sound yummy, I just bought some fresh but thinking perhaps canned/jarred would be better in this?

It's in olive oil, very dense and it isn't just made with truffles, it also contains champignon mushrooms. I tried to take photo of ingredients but the picture always came out blurred, unreadable! 😃 I first used it on New year's Eve for tagliatelle, this time with porcini. I just added a heaped teasponful while it was cooking.
Very versatile, it can also be used for spreading on toasted bread, with poached egg, perhaps. 🙂 A taste enhancer for a mushroom risotto maybe, too. It's very concentrated so I see it as an additional ingredient to add to main ingredients of a dish. In a gravy with roast beef/pork, or simply to accompany grilled meats and vegetables, I found lots of recipes online but I just kept it simple. 😍 I have a little left, perhaps on toast with cheese or egg this evening.
Cheese and potatoes are often suggested as good combinations for truffle sauce, mmmm, a cheese and potato souffle? 😋😃
