I made a vat of chicken barley stew yesterday. It's currently warming up on the stove. Once it's warm enough I'll add lots of baby spinach for color.

What's cooking at your place?

I tried out a new-to-me Danish recipe for creamy sunchoke soup. It was good. It wasn't good enough to be my new, favourite soup. But, it was good enough that I plan to make it again. It's garnished with some crispy, bits of bacon. We had some wholegrain Kamut bread with that.

taxy, I bet with a little tweaking you can make that recipe great!

Himself isn't fond of spinach, so I tried to put lots of his "share" in my bowl. This was a perfect meal for a cold (32°) and rainy night.

I made a big pot of Black-eye Peas...good food for a winter evening. DH is getting a big salad from the hydroponic garden and topped with homegrown microgreens.
