They look delightful!
For us, a curry pie usually uses the commercial curry powder (Keens is often used), some peas and steak or mince. Ours are normally made with short crust pastry or a suet style. Very nice.
I’m sure you could jazz it up anyway you like. Perhaps you might use Mae Ploy or something similar for the curry sauce?

All I need to find is pie tins or pie trays or whatever they might be called ... okay - found a bunch of tin foil disposable "tins" that should work ... this'll be fun or a complete disaster :)
What ya want to do is, buy one of these:

and one of these:

and you can make two pies.

The first is two shells in their own pie tin, and the second one is two rolled up pie rounds that work better for toppng the filled shells.

He wants 5"-6" pie pans. Those are too big. Besides, for Australian curry pies, it's not that kind of crust.

@The Ghan So, did you use a puff pastry for those sausage rolls? If so, that might give me some motivation to give them a try. I'm sure sausage rolls can be tasty. The ones I bought frozen, not so much.

Yes, Peperidge Farm Puff Pastry Sheets (2 per packet) :)

I know what you mean about the frozen variety - that is why I wanted to make my own :)

Yes, please tell us more about the wrapper. They look delicious and tasty, and look really nice. Do you serve them with a sauce?

Not much to say really, only that I use Puff Pastry to roll the meat in and sauce? ABSOLUTELY! Sauce and sausage rolls is a must :)

I might have been interested, if you were close enough to share! :furious:

:) I'd make some and send them to you BUT, would probably be cheaper to just make them yourself :)

I usually buy frozen or refrigerated puff pastry, I've used these to make sausage rolls and lots of different pies, savory and sweet. Puff pastry is so difficult to make but I make my own shortcrust, this one's easy.
