Thanks so much for the nice words, friends. I've always loved "nest building" and we've done a lot of that since moving into this new place in 2007. We don't plan on ever leaving, and we're done...for now. Woo Hoo!!
 
Kayelle, your floors, and room, are beautiful. I know it is a lot of work but I am sure the result will quickly outweigh all that.

We were so thankful that this new place (2 1/2 years now) had hardwood floors, though I am not happy with the tile in the kitchen, entrance and bathrooms. It is porous and looks dirty all the time no matter how well you clean it.

I am not looking forward to that project because the existing tile will need to come out. Plus, we will probably put a walk-in shower in the master bathroom because I am having more problems getting in out of the tub for a shower - no go completely for a bath. When we did this in the townhouse it was awesome. But with my asthma, I will definitely be staying somewhere else. Probably at my in-laws who are very close by.
