New here & new to cooking! Eager to learn!!

Hi, I'm Melissa, 24 years old.

I'm pretty much a novice to cooking and hope to learn some things while I explore the forum. My ultimate goal is to be able to cook anything I'm craving (hehe) and for my boyfriend..... and save us some money by not eating out all the time!

I WANT to LIKE (or even love!) cooking, so any advice or tips are definitely welcome =) I unfortunately did not grow up learning alongside my parents in the kitchen....I was always the one being served, lol. So much for that!
