Today was our usual weekly grocery shopping day and, now, I'm going to officially call it "Pizza Tuesday."

I'm usually tired after our grocery event, so I picked up a Freschetta frozen pizza. This brand is our favorite so getting one was a no-brainer. We ate half of the pizza and might have the rest tomorrow night. We'll see if it gets attacked for lunch tomorrow. I do have a backup plan for tomorrow's evening meal just in case.

But... the best part was dessert. Glenn had mentioned a week or so ago that he really, really enjoyed having some RC Cola and a Moon Pie as a treat when he was young. That's all I needed. Little did I know I would be embarking on a "quest."

Believe it or not, RC Cola and Moon Pies are not the easiest things to find around here. It took me nearly two weeks to find them and he had a wonderful walk down Memory Lane at dessert tonight!:heart: Plus, there is more for a few more times.

What is on your table?

I had the two Merguez sausages from the tray bake a couple of days ago. I also finished off the last of the roast veggies from that tray bake. I tasted a tiny bite of the second red pepper. This one wasn't bitter. I was going to have the last of the cooked brown basmati rice, but it smelled off, so I had whole wheat toast with supper. The dish that I cooked tonight was horta, the Greek greens dish. I still think that is a great way to serve greens. It's very easy to cook it. The work is in the prep of washing and cutting up all those greens. I used about 225 grams (~1/2 lb) of spinach and 175 grams of sorrel. So, I was still short 50 or so grams of greens to make a pound. I had some romaine lettuce that is looking less than beautiful, so I added enough of that to make it up to a pound of greens. I'll try with kale as one of the greens, one of these days.

I used lemon juice in the horta and the recipe says to serve it with wedges of lemon. Well, I had cut the lemon in half at the equator so I could use the citrus juicer. Once the lemon is cut at the equator, you don't get nice looking wedges. So I cut a round of lemon from the middle of the lemon. I gave that a twist and put it on my horta. I was thinking about the garnish thread we have been participating in for a few days. This is both garnish and useful.

Got home late after a Chamber of Commerce meeting. Had nachos and breaded wings in the air fryer. It was gross. That stuff either doesn't agree with me any more for I never liked it and was just fooling myself. lol, Maybe it was the half dozen beer I used to chase it down with..
