Good question. It’s not rheumatoid arthritis, so I guess it’s osteo.

Knee replacements and a new hip soon.

But I will definitely take your nightshade advice (except maybe, potatoes)

There's like 100 different types of arthritis, though OA is the most prevalent as it is due to joints just wearing out.

My hands get sore if I eat too many tomatoes. I've tried to figure out which part is causing the issue, but it seems like raw is the worst. However, since I like them so much, i just deal with it.

That's funny. I find cooked tomato worse. But, the reactions do seem to vary from person to person. I also find that cherry tomatoes and other small ones are not as bad. As well, I find that removing the seeds and gel around the seeds makes it not as bad. The plants usually are making the glycoalkaloid toxins as a protective pesticide.
