Cold food here. It's way too hot. Had fake crab salad and Andy M's world famous ranch potato salad. This is the second time in one week I have made this potato salad. I don't think I will ever use another recipe.

We had Angus burgers cooked on the grill. This time we tried the advice of adding 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda to a pound of ground beef. They did brown extra nicely and it seemed to enhance the flavour too. Then, to make them even better, we each tried with and without some nuoc cham (Nước chấm). That kicked it up another notch or two. Served the burgers on kaiser bun with choice of add-ons. Very pleased with how that turned out. We will definitely be making more nuoc cham.

Quick supper of garden salads and fried bologna sandwiches. Twice in a month or so. Himself is in heaven! [emoji38] I'm just looking to get food on the table fast.

Takeout Mexican with enough leftover for breakfast this morning.
