Bento boxes with chicken rice balls, as well as just chicken with rice with furikake sprinkled over the rice, marinated sweet potatoes, tempura shrimp, pickled veges of carrots, cucumbers, ginger and radish, glass noodle salad, and we were also supposed to have marinated shiitaki mushrooms, but I forgot about them. All the pickled and marinated veges were done 3 days ago. Sauce was Kewpie mayo, sriracha and sesame oil.:l

... even if I did cook my own Brunch and Dinner on my Birthday :glare:
The Carrot Cake is courtesy of Mrs. Two-Doors-Over

No, no, that was my choice to cook, DH did offer to take us out!
There's pretty slim pickin's on the restaurant scene here in
Cowboyville! :chicken:
I wanted to have Mimosa and Eggs Bennie for brunch
and
Filet & Lobster with Caesar Salad for dinner

Happy Birthday, K-Girl!

Finally got the BLT sandwiches made today, along with a Greekish salad. Double bacon on homemade 7-grain bread. Had to be a little healthy!

Happy Birthday Kgirl. Dang, you didn't list your birthday on the DC calendar either. Anyway, many happy returns.

We defrosted one of the freezers today and found some bacon wrapped Filet Mignon for us. Tri colored rice with dried mushrooms, and salad completed the meal.:chef:

We ordered from Mr. Falafel. DH had the shish taouk platter and I had the combo platter - beef and chicken. I braved the potatoes. It was all yummy. I'll see how my joints feel tomorrow.

Two days of afternoon appointments had us stopping in restaurants for dinner..

Chef salads Tuesday, fish and chips Wednesday.. Wednesday was "free pie day", so we enjoyed slices of strawberry/rhubarb (me) and triple berry (Jeannie) with Netflix..
