I have this great recipe for candied bacon. It uses maple syrup, some brown sugar, dijon mustard, salt and pepper. Anyway, you take thick cut bacon and you glaze the bacon with it every 10 minutes for like an hour or something.

Can this be made and then dehydrated?

what if I vacuum seal them in mylar bags with oxygen absorbers. Would they be safe for a couple months?

actually, I could just freeze the left overs. I got a really good deal on a 3 lb pk of bacon and was going to devide and freeze, but it got so late I just threw the whole thing in the freezer. So now I am stuck doing something with the whole thing.

I saw a similar recipe using a glaze and technique like that on strips of carrot.

Bacon sounds much better, though.
