do u too not into dubai milk chocolate?.. i ate some and could not notice the pistachios because the chocolate is overpowering it..

There was an article about this in a UK national newspaper a few months ago, and basically, only the most expensive brands have a decent amount and quality of pistachio - a lot of the cheaper ones are using a lot of sugar and other things in the filling instead of just the pistachio paste. So the upshot is, you get what you pay for.

Which do you mean as something not very tasty? The chocolate or the pistachio?
I like the taste of most chocolate - I've never had the Dubai chocolate. I'm just referring to any chocolate.
I also like pistachio's although I should think their milder flavour would be lost in most chocolates.
I would use something less expensive such as peanuts or even sunflower seeds.

Just read Katy response. So this is a pistachio paste? not the actual nuts?

My understanding is that the best varieties just crush the pistachios and maybe add a little sugar but basically leave it alone, whereas the cheaper versions of the bars add filler stuff so there is actually far less actual pistachio in the bar. The chocolate is just the chocolate, though some bars are (apparently) more like a cake than a chocolate bar. I have tried two types - one expensive and a chocolat bar with the pistachio paste filling - which was very nice indeed, and the other was a spongy type of bar which was just sweet and didnt have a very strong pistachio flavour (and was relatively cheap).

I guess if you want a decent pistachio flavour - you have to "shell out" for it! Ta da!

the dubai chocolate

In terms of Dubai chocolate, Lindt (if that is what you mean by Lindet), would not be considered expensive - more mid-range really.

Also, taste buds vary, so some people will notice the pistachio flavour more or less than others.

i see,
also, i've just searched for dubai chocolate online and saw some the have 4 times more pistachios than chocolate..

btw it is also including kadaif noodles in many cases..

anyhow.
in israel lindet is maybe the most expensive chocolate you can by in shops..

there are shops that produce their own chocolate, and there the prices are higher..

Ah right - kadaif noodes I guess that will be the filler that some makers use.

Most of the usual chocolate manufacturers have jumped onto the bandwagon and started to make their own versions of Dubai chocolate, but it seems (from what I was reading) that a lot of them are not using traditional recipes and may be cutting corners in order to reduce the price to consumers. (While still charging more than their usual chocolate bar products.)
