Question about a Chicken dish from G Ramsay

You could leave them out and have a chicken dish with garlic, spinach and leek, sounds good to me. I like red and yellow peppers and I like cippolini onions or shallots as well and of course some chili flakes or fresh chili.

hmmm, nice suggestions pictonguy.
Cippolini onions are good too. I have some frozen tiny onions (like cocktail onion size) so might use those instead. As they are frozen but so tiny, might add towards the end? although they do stand up well to long cooking (like in stews) so the tray should be fine. (thinking out loud here).

Thanks Badjak, I appreciate!
LOL, it is my understanding he only does the shout and curse mainly for the North American market because they love all the dramatic bad guy image so much.

That dish does sound interesting. I just worry that the spinach will overcook.

I looked up "butter bean" on Wikipedia and lima bean is probably what you want. Here's what the disambiguation page says:

Butterbean may refer to:

  • Lima bean Phaseolus lunatus, an edible legume
  • Runner bean Phaseolus coccineus, grown both as an edible bean and as an ornamental plant
  • Lablab known as butter bean in the Caribbean

yeah, thanks taxy, pretty much what Badjak's article said too.

So they are in fact, according to their scientific name of Phaseolus lunatus, the same bean.

Edit to add..
not too worried about the spinach, can stir it in at the end, but wilted is wilted and I don't find they really are much different than sitting in a soup or stew. Would use baby spinach for sure though.

I've always thought of butter beans as another name for large limas.
lol - pepper I can never remember if butter beans are young lima beans of lima beans are young butter beans.
Now that this has all come up I think that's why I thought they were interchangeable but had to ask. All those little wiggling thoughts in my head.
