I live in the Heartland of the United States
Our sweet little entertainers are gone. The last of them left yesterday or the day before and we haven't seen our "scout" who usually stays until everyone is on their way.

I just brought in all the feeders and have them soaking so they can get cleaned and ready for next year.

Bye-bye dear little friends. Safe journey to your next "home."

The first time in my life.
The other day there were a pair of ducks wandering around in my backyard. They were as happy as s**t plucking stuff to eat in my garden.
When I told MrJade, in all my excitement, he told me that he had seen this pair of ducks frolicking in the pool that is being built on my road.
I love nature

We have migratory birds here every year. They like to rest in the ponds just south of me, and sometimes mate there, and wander out onto the streets with their babies. People here are very nice, and we sometimes have to stop our cars and move them along. It is not at all unusual to see someone in a Mercedes stopped on a street herding some ducks and ducklings off the roadway. It is just what we do here. It's one of the reasons I have lived in Frisco for 30 years.
